Today, we are off to Helping Paws Vet Clinic to finally meet Jodie and Belinda. Together they have so much experience in raising cleft palate babies, and subsequently operating on them. So far their help has been pivotal to pulling him through the first week.
He has a small infection in his cleft, and a little rattle on his right hand side of his chest (the same side his nose runs a bit). So we have started him on antibiotic drops twice a day. He also has some gunk in his eyes, so some ointment for that too and we are trying to get some of the discharge out of the corners of his eyes as well.
He weighed 300g a week ago - this morning he’s 444g. He's growing!
